Why We Built Miximodel
Miximodel is a professional network for the creative industry, built mobile-first and designed around the rhythm of real work. This is why we started.
There is a quiet frustration that runs through a lot of the creative people we talk to. Models, photographers, stylists, makeup artists. Agencies trying to keep up with a craft that has been quietly reinventing itself. The frustration sounds different depending on who you ask, but underneath it is the same thing. Their tools have not kept up with their work.
We noticed this first in small ways. A model juggling a tour across three cities, tracking bookings in a Notes file because no platform made tours a real concept. A photographer wading through a hundred Instagram messages to find the one that was actually professional. An agency trying to vet talent from a set of screenshots and a link tree. The tools were not neutral ground. They were adding friction, hiding signal, and slowly making the work feel smaller than it is. So we started Miximodel.
Most of the platforms that the industry still runs on were built two decades ago. A few were built more recently but borrowed the grammar of social media, which is designed to hold your attention, not to help you work. The result is the same in both cases. The interfaces feel old. The safety posture is weak. The booking workflow, if there is one at all, is an afterthought bolted onto a profile page that was really designed to host photos. We are not interested in rebuilding those platforms with a fresh coat of paint. We started from a different question. If a creative platform were invented today, knowing everything the industry has learned since 2005, what would it actually look like?
We believe a few things very clearly, and they shape almost every decision we make. We believe that models, photographers, stylists, and every other craft on set are professionals. That sounds obvious until you look at how most platforms treat them, which is as content producers for a feed. Professionals need calendars, contracts, payment rails, identity checks, and dispute resolution. Not more likes.
We believe safety is a feature, not a policy page. We have seen too many stories of shoots that turned sour because there was no way to verify who was on the other end of a message, no buddy system when someone was traveling, no clear path to flag a bad actor. A creative platform in 2026 has to treat safety as part of the product surface, not as a line in a terms of service that nobody reads.
We believe pricing should be transparent. We believe tours and travel should be first class. We believe agencies, photographers, and models can collaborate in the same space without friction. We believe the platform should be fast, calm, and beautiful, because the work is.
Miximodel is a professional network for the creative industry, built mobile-first and designed around the rhythm of real work. Profiles are detailed enough to actually book from. The booking flow understands that a model might be in Paris today, Milan in three weeks, and Berlin for a week after that. Photographers can post castings and collaborations. Makeup artists, stylists, and hair stylists have their own surfaces, not an afterthought tab. Agencies have tools to manage rosters without feeling like they are fighting the product.
We are building in the open, one piece at a time. A modern feed that respects your attention. A portfolio grid that treats photos like editorial work, not engagement bait. A tour planner that knows the difference between a shoot and a stop. A credits system for the Mixibot AI assistant that never lets you feel trapped. Some of these pieces are already live. Others are on the way. The roadmap is public, and we ship publicly.
Miximodel is for the people who take the work seriously. If you are a model managing a career across borders, a photographer building a practice, an agency trying to find real talent without sifting through noise, or a makeup artist or stylist looking for collaborations that match your craft, this platform is built for you. We are European by instinct and international by necessity. The creative world does not stop at borders, and neither do we.
We are also honest about what Miximodel is not. It is not a dating app. It is not a portfolio host pretending to be a network. It is not a shortcut to becoming famous. It is a place to do serious creative work with serious people, and to be treated as a professional while doing it.
This article is the first one we ever published. From here, we will write about the craft, about the platform decisions we make and why, about the industry we love and its difficult corners. We will share what we are building and invite you to help shape it. If you are reading this, you are early, and that matters to us. Thank you for being here. We are glad you came.
